The controversy surrounding Roman Polanski could have threatened to overshadow the release of his latest film, but the sheer impeccable intensity and stylishness of this noir thriller is undeniable. The Best Director winner at the recent Berlin Film Festival, The Ghost Writer has already received raves from publications such as Los Angeles Times and The Wall Street Journal. The story, based on Robert Harris’ novel, follows a successful British ghostwriter (Ewan McGregor) who has been asked to work on the memoirs of the current British Prime Minister (Pierce Brosnan).
